One Control Sea Turquoise Delay (OC-STDn)

One Control Sea Turquoise Delay (OC-STDn) is a compact aluminum mini delay pedal from the BJF Series, with Level, Delay, and Feedback knobs and a side-mounted Kill/Dry switch.

What it is

The Sea Turquoise Delay is a compact digital delay pedal in a turquoise aluminum enclosure. The manufacturer describes it as having delay times up to 600 ms and only three controls plus a switch. Designer Björn Juhl says the goal was to simplify the controls while keeping versatility. The Kill/Dry switch removes the dry signal from the output, which makes the pedal usable in parallel setups and mixing or PA chains. What distinguishes it from other mini delays, according to the sources, is the Kill/Dry switch, the option to run on a 9V battery, and its simple control layout. Bonedo and Gitarre & Bass both found the sound clean, and Gitarre & Bass compared it to a position between a Carbon Copy and a Boss DD-3. Gitarre & Bass also said the pedal offers fewer adjustments than many mini-pedal competitors from Mooer, TC, or XVive, and Bonedo said it offers no additional sound variations compared with stronger competitors at this price. The notes do not establish a production history or era beyond a 2022 manual labeled v2.01. Retailers use inconsistent model names, and one source gives the origin as China and another as Japan, so the production details are not settled.

How it's used

Musicians use it as a subtle delay that can stay on, for slapback and vintage-style echo sounds, and in studio and PA settings where the Kill/Dry switch allows only the effect to be sent. Bonedo notes its use in a parallel effects-loop setup. Gitarre & Bass suggests it suits players who want a set-and-forget approach rather than detailed delay tweaking.
